ACADEMIC STRUCTURE

Students at Adesoye College are expected to complete six-year academic sessions before graduation. There are six grade level and each grade level are labeled A and B although there are spaces to accommodate junior classes to D and senior classes to C. A class teacher is assigned to each arm and expected to be with them for at least one academic year.

Students receive their lessons in spacious well-ventilated classrooms, fitted with necessary gadgets to aid the 21st Century teaching and learning.

Class teachers are expected to have contact with their students every weekday during Registration and on Thursday during Personal Social Education (PSE)

It is the responsibility of class teachers to attend to the pastoral needs of students in their class or refer them to the school counselor on issues that can harm their academics and make reports to the Head of School.

There are four faculties in the School:  Science, Social Science, Languages and Arts, Mathematics, ICT and Technical Drawing. In each faculty, there is the head of department in charge of each subject. Regular departmental and general faculty meetings take place once a week. Head of Faculties, Head of Junior and Senior Schools meet once in a week with Head of school to look at students’ academic data and come up with recommendations on how to improve academic climate through 21st Century teaching and learning.
